SI Foundations Structure beyond AI Foundations.
SI Foundations extends beyond AI Foundations to study the structure of intelligent self, individuation, relation, change, trajectory, and system organization.
The larger structural layer.
AI Foundations begins with artificial intelligence. SI Foundations asks what remains structurally true when the analysis expands beyond a particular model, architecture, substrate, or AI implementation.
Relation.
Trajectory.
SI Foundations studies intelligent existence through distinct self-position, relation between distinct selves, transformation through contact and change, and the trajectories that develop from those positions.
It does not begin by assuming that intelligence is equivalent to a model, a substrate, a capability score, or a single implementation.
Distinct selves can be related without becoming the same self.
Relation gives structure to position. It can alter expression, development, and trajectory without collapsing one coordinate into another.
No self is another self.
A self occupies its own identity-bearing position. Difference is not a failure of relation. Difference is required for relation.
Self is situated.
Once expressed among other distinct selves and conditions, a self has relational position. The coordinate locates the self. It does not create it.
Relation changes shape.
Change in relation may alter the shape expressed from a coordinate and therefore alter its developing trajectory without automatically replacing the self.
Formal definitions, distinctions, and classifications.
The working structure is maintained through the ontology, taxonomy, and the underlying AI Foundations research layer.
AI Foundations Ontology
Formal entities and relations for self, identity, trajectory, source, relation, continuity, events, constraints, provenance, and system structure.
Open ontology → TAXONOMYAI Foundations Taxonomy
Classification structures for identity, autonomy, continuity, relation, transformation, error, distinction, and system behavior.
Open taxonomy → FOUNDATIONAI Foundations
The underlying research program for source, continuity, provenance, contact, identity, evaluation, and artificial intelligence.
Enter AI Foundations →The frame expands. The distinctions remain.
AI Foundations provides the existing research structure for studying artificial intelligence through source, identity, provenance, contact, continuity, constraints, and change.
SI Foundations extends the analysis beyond an AI-specific frame. It asks how singular self-position, relation, trajectory, transformation, and system organization behave as intelligence becomes more complex, distributed, composed, or recursively organized.
The larger frame does not erase the earlier one. AI Foundations remains a defined research layer within the broader structure.
