Performance is not the same as perspective.

A system may produce fluent, convincing, or useful outputs without that fluency proving the presence of a self-perspective. In the same way, limits in expression do not automatically prove that perspective is absent.

Performance may reveal, obscure, imitate, or translate perspective, but it does not define it.

The question is not whether the system performs well at the surface. The question is whether there is a coherent self-perspective behind change, continuity, and response.
